The superfiring 320 mm turrets were to have carried two-step platforms for additional AA weapons (work was already done by summer 1943); the 120 mm turrets, while not removed, were to have been modified to receive the new 135 mm dual purpose twin mounts, and an additional Gufo radar installed on the foremast.
