She is sometimes portrayed as having high body temperature or being warm to the touch, due to the fact that the Kaga was a converted battleship and was prone to overheating due to poor ventilation.

The historical Kaga was originally designed as a battleship before being converted into a carrier. She was scuttled after being heavily damaged at the Battle of Midway in 1942.
