In the sequel Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium, UMP40 appears as Lainie (girls' frontline 2)|, the OGAS receiving her own body.
Her original illustrator Renatus.Z adapted her design from one of his Pixiv Fantasia characters, Natius (pixiv fantasia)|. Following Renatus' departure, other illustrators have picked her up to do her skins. She is voiced by Uema Umi.
